Hero POV

The same night, through two pairs of eyes.

Session 3, the moment the silent bell rang. Two heroes stood in the same room — these are their journals, generated from the recording, each grounded against what was actually said.

    Maren Voss

I came to the Uncharted Stone Arch ready to trust the window I had measured myself, and when Petch placed the ninth key into my hand, I took it like a responsibility instead of a gift. I counted it under my breath, set my rule for the crew, and led the opening of the Tidevault Dive from the front, watching Ollo’s tool do what strength never could. In the rope gallery, I named the fresh scoring on the eighth guide for what it was, and when the ninth bell rang without hands I heard Kellen Voss clearly enough to shake the breath out of me. I held my ground long enough to watch Hale expose himself, then I called the turn and still chose the eighth window over my own safety, because Kellen’s message and Petch’s chart pointed to the same place. When we found the Ninth Bell Clapper, I helped carry it out and returned the key and the box to Petch, but I did it on my terms, with the warning that the crew would be told first if the Reach tried to claim it.

    Ollo Brambleknock

I brought Lampbert and the ratcheting aid I had spent nine days building to the Uncharted Stone Arch, and I used them the way I meant to: with patience, not force. When the tide-gate finally gave under careful clicks, I felt the work answer back through the metal and salt, and that made the whole descent feel less like a theft and more like a craft. Inside the Tidevault Dive, I held Lampbert steady while we found the rope gallery and the slack ninth line, and I understood that the bells were something living hands had tried to manage rather than a machine to be beaten. When Magistrate Hale came in with Low Tide Charter muscle and tried to take the place for himself, I watched the room turn from discovery into defiance, and I could not help being moved when the ninth bell rang on its own. I was the one who shut Lampbert and helped race the throat when Maren called the turn, and I left with the sealed clapper secured instead of pried loose.

Maren Voss's note to selfvisible only to her player

Count what you can carry, warden. The key went back to Petch, the clapper went back to the dark, and I still owe the eighth window a visit. Kellen said 'when it's done' — I don't think it's done.

    A journal per hero

Every claimed hero gets the night retold from their side — what they did, what they felt, what they carried.

    Grounded, like everything

POV entries are checked against the transcript before they reach the player.

    Notes stay yours

A hero note belongs to its player. Not the party's, not the recap's.

    What we don't do

    • Hand a player someone else's secrets — a POV only knows what its hero was there for.
    • Read private notes into the party record — they're a separate thing with separate access.
